Along the lines of taking risks, you could've probably guessed that I am a sucker, straight up, for patterns. Including this hazy mirage dress. It's more contemporary than most of my closet but I love the color palette. Especially the cobalt blue. It just begs for a killer pair of nude heels.
Confession: This week has been ultra intense as we prepare for our trip. Currently, my powder room toliet is overflowing. My husband is working from home waiting for a plumber while I feverishly work on the train in preparation for my first meeting today.
Nobody said it was glamorous! But, on a happier note, here's what happened in our world this week:
Date night fringe, gold and tirmasu.
I received the most gorgeous, pink roses from The Bouqs Company. Review to follow next week!
Who knew you guys would love this LBD so much? Thank you for the sweet comments!
My bikini survival kit. Run out and get yourself some Completely Bare products. #completelybaresummer
I just love this age - she makes my heart happy.
Olivia and I had a girl's night and I created "Elsa" braids for her. #obsessed.
Here are some cool things that happened in the rest of the world:
If Winter is the new black, then Summer is the new white. LWD, that is. If there was ever a time to buy your LWD - little white dress - it would be now! I found a myriad of choices on Shopbop...too many to choose from, in fact. My personal favorite is the Lela Rose. The laser cut details are so elegant. It could translate to cooler weather so well with a cropped, moto jacket.
Does this dress look familiar? It should because you saw it in red, too. I loved it so much I got it in another color. It's just so classic. As far as I'm concerned, everyone needs about five really good LBD's. Maybe that's just me.
Summer date nights are infinitely more fun to dress for, don't you think? I feel like I'm restricted to pants for nine months of the year hence floral shorts are a welcome change-up! I'm sure my husband welcomes a little sass once in awhile considering I live in my cut offs five days a week. So here we are!
I'm in such a hair rut. The humidity has been thick and I am growing out my lob because I miss my ponytail. First world problems, I know. Hopefully this explains my creativity in the hair department = which really means, desperate attempts to try something new.
While Chicago winters can be kinda brutal, the summers make it the greatest city on earth. There's no way you'd argue with me if you visited the Taste of Chicago this week. My friend, Tabitha, and I had the opportunity to check out the Janelle Monae concert on Thursday and it was amazing.
I will never tire of this skyline nor 75 degree weather.
The Illinois State Lottery hosted the #apmusicseries which stands for "Anything is Possible". Different artists will grace the stage over the course of the next week and it just so happens we were fortunate enough to take them up on a VIP Tent invitation for this show.
Navy + pink is by far one of my favorite color combos. Find me a pencil skirt with pockets and we're talking business. This outfit is my safety net when I need to dress for meetings that transition to happy hour.
